Innovative TrueSpace technology

Dolby Atmos® is great for elevating the sound experience of certain movies and TV. But most content isn’t Atmos-encoded. For full immersion all the time, there’s BoseTrueSpace technology. No matter what you’re watching, TrueSpace intelligently analyzes signals other than Dolby Atmos®, like stereo or 5.1, and upmixes them to create an immersive multi-channel sound experience. Instruments, dialogue, and effects are separated, then placed around the room.

Elegantly designed soundbar

This elegant and compact soundbar measures 27.5 wide (69.5 cm) by 2.25 (6 cm) tall and fits perfectly under any TV. Or choose the optional bracket to mount it on your wall (sold separately). The top surface is a sleek matte black and is complemented by a perforated wraparound metal grille — all designed to look great in your room.

Take control of your sound

From guided setup to choosing all your preferences, the Bose Music app is the key to all Soundbar 550 has to offer. Connect the soundbar to your TV using either HDMI eARC/ARC or the optical audio connection (both cables are included) and hook it up to power. The app walks you through the rest. You can manage Bose Wi-Fi-enabled products, update software, and browse all your music in one place.
