The Model FS-4000 Front Stage Loudspeaker is an integrated high-perfor-mance loudspeaker containing all three front channel speakers (LCR) in a single elegant, slim enclosure. The speaker can be either wall-mounted above or below the video display, or it can be placed on a shelf or on the television itself with the included rocker base.
The advanced design of this speaker delivers detailed, articulate sound for a dramatic viewing experience. Each of the three separate internal chambers contain one GLH (Graphite Loaded Homopolymer) 4 ½-inch (115mm) woofer, one GLH 4 ½-inch Pressure Driver and an advanced 1” (25mm) ferrofluid-cooled, damped soft dome tweeter with a powerful neodymium magnet structure. The drivers are mounted in an acoustically inert, heavily braced MDF enclosure and are magnetically shielded so they may be placed close to any type of video monitor without concern of video interference.
For accurate reproduction of a multi-channel soundtrack, the three front-channel speakers must have the same essential tonal balance. Since the FS-4000 is comprised of three identical speakers mounted in a common enclosure, it delivers an exceptionally smooth and coherent sonic signature across the front soundstage.
The ICTS-6 LCR uses a heavy-duty 6 ½-inch woofer that is angled 15 degrees towards the listening area, and a special version of our 1"tweeter that handles more of the sound spectrum than any other in-ceiling speaker for unmatched sound coverage. A front mounted high-frequency level control rounds out the feature set of these high-performance speakers. Small tweeters spread out the midrange and treble sound much better than big woofers can, so by designing our tweeter to handle more of the range than a conventional tweeter, the 6LCR delivers truly great sound from a ceiling speaker that others can't match. That's the advantage you get from a great engineering company like Atlantic Technology. In addition, this model utilizes an advanced computer-optimized crossover, gold-plated heavy-duty connectors, and simple rotating clamp mounting for exceptional acoustic performance and easy installation. Simply put, these innovative ceiling speakers make it possible to have spectacular sound in almost any room in your home.
ICTS 8.3 In Ceiling Dipole Surround Speakers
TriVectorTM Surround Mode TriVector mode puts the two tweet-ers in each speaker out of phase with each other. The result, when you sit centered on the tweeter array, is a non-localizable sound field that helps re-create the surround field intended by the movie’s director. Since the goal of Home Theater is to get you “lost in the movie,” a diffuse surround field almost always works best. To that end the ideal location for most diffuse surround speakers is directly to the sides of the prime listening area. However, in many rooms there’s simply no place to conveniently place speakers to the sides. Until the introduction of Atlantic’s TriVector ceiling surrounds, the ceiling was an often used, but generally less than ideal alternative.
When used in TriVector mode these speakers are best placed in the ceiling to the sides of the prime listening location, with the tweeters aimed towards the front and back of the room. You can also place the speakers to the side and slightly forward or back of the prime listening position, keeping the tweeter orientation as noted above. There’s a 15 degree “window” of placement forward or back of the listening position that is acceptable. But note that any more forward or back and you’ll lose the diffuse effect. Also note that, due to the low midrange frequencies coming from the woofer, if you place the speakers directly over the listening position there will be a fair amount of localizable surround sound even when the speakers are set to TriVector mode.
